About us

Broad care, personal attention

Divers Zorg is a committed and growing care organisation. We offer personal support in the Nijmegen region — with an eye for everyone's own story.

Who we are

An organisation that values diversity

Our name says it: at Divers Zorg, diversity comes first. Every person has their own background, culture and story. We work in a culturally sensitive way and match who you are — for us, that is the basis of good care.

We set great store by strong relationships between staff and clients. Reliability, trust and personal growth — for clients and staff alike — come first with us.

Who we support

Who are we here for?

Divers Zorg supports adults with a mild intellectual disability (LVG), people with mental health problems (GGZ) and people with dementia. We offer support to anyone who — for a short time or for longer — could use help with living (more) independently.

People with a multicultural background — including refugees with a residence permit and asylum seekers — are in the right place with us too: read more about our culturally sensitive care.

Whether it is support at home, supported living or a sheltered place to live: we always look at what you need and what fits your situation.

Among others, we are here for people who:

  • live with a mild intellectual disability (LVG)
  • deal with mental health problems (GGZ)
  • live with dementia and are looking for support
  • want help with giving their day structure
  • want to become more self-reliant
  • want to build or keep up social contacts
  • are looking for a safe place to live with support close by
  • need help with personal care or the household
How we work

The way we work

Our motto is “Broad care, personal attention”. That means tailored care: no standard route, but care that fits your life.

Time for the first steps

We think it matters that we suit you — and that you suit us. That is why two people join the intake: a behavioural specialist and a support worker. After that you meet your personal support worker.

Observation period

Every period of support starts with an observation period. This way we get to know you and your situation well before the care plan is final.

The presence approach

Our way of working is based on the presence approach (presentiebenadering): building a relationship of trust comes first. We are there for you.

Multidisciplinary review

We review your goals and your care plan regularly, in a meeting with everyone involved — and we adjust them when that is needed.

Mission and vision

What we stand for

We believe that good care starts with a strong relationship between equals. These core values are the basis of everything we do.

Valuing diversity

Every person has their own story. We work in a culturally sensitive way, with an eye for everyone's background.

Building strong bonds

A relationship of trust between client and support worker is the basis of good care.

Keeping our promises

Reliability comes first. What we agree on, we do.

Encouraging autonomy

We strengthen the independence and personal growth of clients and staff alike.
