Home help

A clean and tidy home is the basis for living pleasantly — and independently for longer. When the housework no longer works on your own because of age, illness or a disability, our staff take tasks over from you: vacuuming and mopping, keeping the bathroom and the kitchen clean, the laundry and the tidying up. You decide together with your home help what gets done; it stays your home and your way of keeping house.

Our home help is there for adults in Nijmegen and the Rijk van Nijmegen region — also for people with dementia, with an intellectual disability or with mental vulnerability, and for families with a multicultural background. We work with regular staff as much as possible, so that you know who comes into your home and a bond of trust can grow. Our people have an eye for more than the housework alone: if they notice something about how you are doing, they pass it on.

We often combine home help with other kinds of care, such as personal care or individual support. That way you have all your support with one organisation, with short lines and one contact person. New clients start here too with a first meeting, so that the help fits your wishes and your habits.

Home help is in many cases paid from the Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning, the Wmo (the Dutch Social Support Act, arranged by your municipality), or through a pgb (a personal budget you use to buy your own care).
